This season, I challenge you to do more than just sign your name to the greeting cards you give. To help with this challenge, I will be sharing different ideas about what you can write in your greeting card. First idea: An Acrostic Poem!

An Acrostic poem is where the first letter of each line starts a word, sentence or message.  Acrostic or name poems are fun, creative and cute way to write a unique and meaningful message to a loved one. It is also an easy way to convey how much someone means to you because you can breakdown your thoughts and make each line a separate, concise message.

The easiest way to incorporate an acrostic poem in your greeting card is to use your loved one’s name and use each letter to start a positive or complimentary adjective or phrase to describe them.  The results can be hilarious, heartfelt and memorable. Creating an acrostic poem is a really fun form of writing that can be created by people of all ages.

My favourite part about acrostic poems: they get you thinking of all the amazing things about the person you are writing about 😊

Listed below is a handy dandy list of adjectives, arranged alphabetically.
